A Place for Learning

We believe the Bible is God’s word to us. The message is as relevant today as it was 2000 years ago. The Bible is our guide, our plumb line for living our faith.

We provide opportunities for studying God’s word through Sunday school for all ages, Sunday evening children, youth, and adult programs, and camps and retreats for all age groups.

Sunday School is for Life

Wonderful things can happen in Sunday school. It is a place where lives are touched – from the very young to the very old. Sunday school is:

  • Lifelong
  • Life-giving
  • About real life
  • Connected to the Source of life

Sunday School is a place where people and churches can be transformed by:

  • Growing leaders who guide the church in living out its purpose
  • Increasing people’s sense of belonging and commitment to service
  • Providing a place for people to make friends and grow in their faith
  • Deepening people’s understanding of God’s work in their lives and in the world around them

Join us each Sunday morning at 9:30 am

Classes Offered

  • Encounter – Taught by Randy Davidson, this class meets in the church library which is across from Pastor Linda’s office. They base their studies on The Encounter, a Cumberland Presbyterian publication.
  • Fellowship of Disciples – Taught by Connie and Ray Quiett. Their class is the first room to the right of the Sanctuary. This group varies its studies, but the teaching includes in-depth exploration of scriptural topics and specific passages of scripture.
  • Discovery Class – Led by Richard Snelling. Their classroom is the second room to the right of the Sanctuary. The Discovery Class focuses on in-depth study of individual books of the Bible and related topics through the use of a variety of resources including videos, topical books, and scripture studies.
  • Seekers – Taught by Larry and Nancy Young. Their classroom is the second room on the left of the Sanctuary. This group enjoys scriptural-based studies that are discussion oriented and are designed for believers to grow in faith and to “seek” God’s will.

Children’s Learning Opportunities

Talk about the faith when you sit, walk, lie down and rise up… (Deuteronomy 6:7)

Parents, if we get just one thing right – Let’s introduce God to our kids and live a life in service to Him before their eyes.

What greater gift can we give them than the gift of faith? As parents, we must lay that foundation. But remember, the church is here to support you. Let’s do it together.
