A Place for Outreach

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me…I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers or sisters, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:35-36, 40)

Jesus showed God’s love by reaching out to people who were in need. At Covenant Church we believe that we are commanded to do the same, both within our church family and in the community and world around us.

“I say to you, in as much as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.”  (Matt.  25: 35, 36 and 40.)

Jesus calls us to open our hearts to others and serve them by meeting their needs. This is obeying Jesus’ to “love one another.”

When we do this, we are living out our faith; we are ministering to God’s children; we are “sharing the love of God with the people of God.”

CP Women’s Ministry

Our purpose is to accept and share the love and joy of Jesus Christ through the ministry of women in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  We seek to do this as we pray, study God’s Word, and reach out to others through mission, service, encouragement and fellowship.

The Women’s Ministry of Covenant Church participates by actively supporting outreach to the community and the world.

Our ministry also encourages the sharing of faith and fellowship among the women of our church by providing an annual women’s retreat.

If you desire fellowship with other Christian women and have a desire to share God’s love with others, we welcome you and hope you find the home you are seeking with us.
